Alanna is a Registered Acupuncturist and Certified Nutritional Practitioner born and raised in Vancouver. Her interest in alternative health began in her adolescent years when her father was diagnosed with cancer. Suka is the owner and founder of Acupoint Wellness Centre. She is a registered acupuncturist in Vancouver, BC with over 10 years of experience. She has always had a passion for healthcare. From the time she was young she knew instinctively that she wanted to help others.

As a former gymnast and professional dancer, Suka is no stranger to stress, hard work, and pain management. Plagued with multiple injuries she decided to give acupuncture a try as a last resort. A true skeptic and a scaredy-cat about needles, she was willing to try anything to keep doing the one thing that she loved. After only one session she had instant relief of pain which started her on the path to truly healing her injuries. Awed and inspired by this ancient system of medicine she became a believer, and after 15 years of dancing she decided to hang up her dance shoes and study this intriguing art of traditional Chinese medicine. She studied acupuncture at Pacific Coast University – College of Holistic Medicine. From there she went on to the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to complete her program of Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
